360 liposculpture

ALL ABOUT 360 LIPOSCULPTURE AND FAT TRANSFER

Liposculpture is a more advanced variation of simple liposuction. It goes beyond the individual areas to be treated and aims to reshaping and sculpting the body contour.

Under the influence of hormones, some areas of the body can accumulate stubborn fat. Women are especially more prone to having fat deposits on their hips, thighs, and stomach. They may also have the not so lovely love handles and bra fat.

That’s when magic happens! This procedure is designed to take fat from small specific areas of your body and replace it in other areas to create volume and boost fullness. It’s a 360 body contouring procedure!

So, if you are unhappy about your mid-section and dream of having a flat and perfectly sculpted abdomen, 360 lipo can be the perfect helping hand you were waiting for. Maybe you won’t even need to turn to more invasive options like a tummy tuck to get your desired results. So, keep on reading to know all the details and understand how this intervention can save your silhouette!

WHAT IS 360 LIPOSCULPTURE?

With 360 liposculpture, the surgeon can eliminate localized fat and create the illusion of a better shape and even musculature.

It means removing excess subcutaneous fat in a refined and aesthetic way, considering body proportions. Whereas the term liposuction only refers to removing fat. Plain and simple.

So, liposuction can be considered a mechanical process, whereas liposculpture is a surgical art. It is a means to a beautiful end. It involves removing excess fat with added benefits. Also, it can offer fewer skin irregularities, less pain, less bruising, and less water accumulation.

Lipo 360° shouldn’t be mistaken with what’s sometimes called “fully body liposuction.” Lipo 360° only focuses on the midsection, without suctioning fat from the arms, legs, or upper back.

However, the thighs could be treated using complete 360 degrees Vaser liposuction. This approach targets the anterior and inner thighs, the saddlebags, and the buttock fold for a more flattering result.

HOW IS LIPOSCULPTURE DIFFERENT FROM TRADITIONAL LIPOSUCTION?

Liposculpture is a popular term in the plastic surgery world for a few years now. It doesn’t refer to new technology or form of liposuction, like tumescent, Lipo Vaser, or Laser lipo. It describes the approach of the areas to be treated.

This procedure takes fat from small specific areas, unlike liposuction which covers larger areas. Instead of just removing fat, liposculpture also moves it around it to improve your muscle tone and shapeliness.

So, rather than only addressing one fat area at a time, the surgeon performs a circumferential liposculpture of the middle section. The areas for treatment are the upper and lower abdomen, waist, hips, flanks, love handles, and bra fat.

The procedure is a more comprehensive and efficient technique for body contouring that allows the surgeon to reshape and sculpt the remaining fat deposits into a more balanced silhouette.

This is a strategically well-planned liposuction procedure that recognizes that the human body exists in a tridimensional space! Hence, the front and the back are equally important when contouring the middle section.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS FROM VASER LIPOSCULPTURE?

Besides the obvious aesthetic benefits in terms of more balance and a better contour, lipo performed using Vaser technology offers these benefits:

  • minimal downtime
  • in an out procedure
  • no need for general anesthesia
  • minimal bruising, scarring, and pain
  • targets both small and large areas of the body
  • more muscle definition without using implants
  • smoother contour

WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR LIPOSCULPTURE?

This method may seem to be a magic trick. But that does not mean that the surgeon can perform miracles! The elasticity of the skin and muscle tissue are determining factors.

A good candidate should be within their ideal body weight. The idea is to help remove fat from trouble areas and not substitute for diet and exercise.

For people who are overweight, this surgical procedure is not the solution. First, you must lose weight. Also, it is a prerequisite to be in good health before undergoing such a procedure.

BEFORE THE LIPOSCULPTURE

First, you should put yourself in the hands of a board-certified professional. Actually, the first consultation is to judge the seriousness and experience of the practitioner. Together, the patient and surgeon will discuss the goals and expectations.

Your doctor will offer different treatment options considering your body type, age, gender, weight, skin quality, and even budget. He can answer your questions and will explain to you the pros and cons of this cosmetic procedure.

After your final decision, you will complete lab tests and schedule another pre-operative consultation one week before the surgery. In this way, your doctor will make sure that you are in good health status and there are no contraindications.

HOW IS THE LIPOSCULPTURE PROCEDURE PERFORMED?

The surgical procedure can be safely completed in 1-2 hrs without a hospital stay. Most likely, you will receive local or regional anesthesia plus IV sedation.

The areas to be treated are typically marked with a circle before the surgery. During the procedure, the plastic surgeon introduces a thin metal cannula through small incisions hidden in the natural skin folds.

Two incisions are suprapubic (in the lower abdominal fold), and another incision is placed over the navel. Other incisions could be placed under the breast and lower back. Of course, different patients require different incisions.

Then, the cannula is used to break down and suction out (or aspirate) the fat cells using multiple crisscross movements. In this step, your surgeon may use high-frequency vibrations (VASER lipo), a weak laser pulse, or a high-pressure water jet to speed up the process.

After the surgery, a lipopanty or compression garment is immediately put on. You need to wear this panty 24/7 for nearly a month, minimum.

HOW LONG IS RECOVERY FROM LIPOSCULPTURE?

It is advised that someone pick you up after surgery. You will not be able to drive or take public transportation. When you wake up, you will receive specific post-operative care instructions.

We also recommend that you rest for a few days. Your body needs time to recover from the procedure. In the first week, you will feel some stiffness and soreness in the treated areas. For the first two days, you may feel severe pain.

There will not be any stitches after 7 to 10 days. Scarring is practically invisible due to the minimally invasive nature of the procedure and placement of the incisions. To optimize the healing process, we recommend that you use a special scar lotion.

HOW LONG AFTER LIPOSCULPTURE WILL I SEE RESULTS?

Your new body contour will be visible after 2 to 3 weeks. The final results are expected within 3 to 6 months after the surgery.

After that time, you should keep a healthy lifestyle and avoid any weight fluctuations to maintain your new silhouette.

IS LIPOSCULPTURE SAFE?

As with any plastic surgery, infection or bleeding can occur. However, liposculpture is a safe procedure, and these risks are highly reduced. Severe but rare complications include contour defects, skin color changes, emboli, hematomas, or seromas.

The usual side effects are bruising and swelling. Hematomas fade after 1 to 2 weeks, and swelling subsides after 8 to 12 weeks. Scarring is almost negligible.

HOW MUCH LIPOSCULPTURE COSTS?

Surgery cost depends on the amount of fat removed. The price also depends on the areas of fat removal. Every procedure is personal to you and your needs, and so is the cost.
